Hai Zhang received his PhD in mathematics from Michigan State University in 2013. He then worked as a postdoc research fellow at ENS in Paris for two years. He joined HKUST in 2015 as an Assistant Professor. His research interest includes scattering and inverse scattering problems, general inverse problems in mathematical physics. Recently, he has been working on mathematical theory of wave interaction with sub-wavelength resonant structures and their applications. He is also interested in super-resolution imaging. He has published about 30 papers and one monograph on the related topics.
